During a recent Pacific Northwest tour, Kentucky-based singer-songwriter and bluegrass guitarist Brandon Lee Adams stopped by the Fretboard Journal. We were expecting some flatpicking instrumentals and perhaps a song or two from his Hardest Kind of Memories album. But Adams threw us a curveball and let us hear his transcendent cover of Randy Newman’s “I Think It’s Going to Rain Today.”

On this track, Adams put his cherished Martin guitar aside to try out a new D-18 built by the Pre-war Guitars company.
