VAVÁ, helmed by singer-songwriter/guitarist Vanessa Wheeler, performs “Naive” at the Fretboard Journal offices with Frank Ojeda on bass.

On this tune, Wheeler is using her 26 3/4″-scale baritone Creston Electric guitar, which she’s dubbed “Cake,” through a Benson Amplifiers “Dizzy Bird” in front of a Quilter 101 Mini Head (the “Dizzy Bird” is a 1-watt “Vinny” amplifier, coupled with a “Tall Bird” reverb unit; it features a post-output-transformer line out, so it can be used as a preamp).
