From his home in Copenhagen, guitarist Mikkel Ploug sends us his lovely interpretation of the 500 year-old Danish Christmas hymn, “Den yndigste rose er funden” (the “most adorable rose has been found”). Though it was penned in 1542, the composition sounds perfectly at home on Ploug’s 1961 Gibson 330.
On this track, Ploug is playing through a handbuild amp by Denmark’s Lars Rainau, who builds Fender tweed-type amp replicas.
