Jake Xerxes Fussell stops by the Fretboard Journal to perform Arthur Russell’s “Close My Eyes.” With bassist Ben Whiteley backing him, it’s one of the finest covers we’ve been lucky enough to film. While he has yet to record it for an album, Jake tells us he has been playing “Close My Eyes” at live shows for the last year or so.

Jake is using his 1976 Fender Telecaster for this song, plugged directly into a Carr Sportsman.
