For today’s #FJFest entry, Tompkins Square recording artist Josh Kimbrough shares two tunes from his recently released album, Slither, Soar & Disappear. Kimbrough is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and his backyard deck, along with all those chirping birds in the background, seems like a perfect setting for these lovely instrumental tunes.
On the first composition, “Backyard Hawk,” Kimbrough has his Alhambra 7P guitar tuned to CGCGCE. The second track, “Sunbathing Water Snake,” is performed on a “lawsuit era” Ibanez in DADGAD tuning.
