As we celebrate our 15th year of publishing the Fretboard Journal, we’re going through our archives of rare video and interview footage and unearthing some never-before-seen gems. Take this 2016 footage of Bill Frisell and Tim Young improvising through a composition Young simply called “Notes.” It’s wild and loose, but also brilliant. 

Filmed July 15, 2016 at the Fretboard Journal‘s Seattle headquarters. We also captured them playing a tune dubbed “G Minor.”
