Buck Curran has a multi-faceted career as both a touring artist and a luthier. He also penned the Fretboard Journal #24’s lengthy tribute to the late guitar experimentalist Robbie Basho.
While touring through the Pacific Northwest with Arborea (featuring the haunting vocals of his wife, Shanti), Curran stopped by the Fretboard Journal offices. Here, Arborea performs “Dance, Sing, Fight” from their 2009 album, House of Sticks.
Buck is playing his own 2006 Butterfly model guitar featuring a Red spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It sounded lovely and we hope this recording does it justice.
