On March 27, 2018, we packed our bags to hold a very special event for Fretboard Journal readers and followers in Austin, Texas. The location was perfect: The sprawling new warehouse housing Calton Cases. Over 200 attendees enjoyed four hours of music, readings from the magazine, interviews (including a cameo from Dave Alvin and local legend Jimmie Dale Gilmore), raffle prizes (all benefiting local Austin charity H.A.A.M., supporting Austin-area musicians in need of health care) and plenty of guitar show-and-telling.
