Every holiday season, many of you buy FJ gift subscriptions for your friends and family. For this, we’re extremely grateful. And we figured it was high time we made a gift card that was as nice (well, almost) as the magazine itself. This year, we turned to a 100 year old letterpress to make our gift cards. It wasn’t cheap and we’re pretty sure it was more labor intensive than any other magazine’s gift notices, but we love the finished product. Hope you do, too. These cards will be mailed out immediately to all new gift subscribers, unless you tell us otherwise. There’s still time to place a gift subscription order here.
The printing press.
Drawers of movable type. Hey, if it worked for Gutenberg!
The finished product. You can’t tell in this photo but the background color is a bunch of instrument cases. Trust us, it looks good!
