Raphael McGregor plays a 1942 Bigsby lap steel, the first instrument ever built by famed guitarmaker Paul Bigsby. After being lost for over 70 years, this instrument was recently rediscovered. The tune played here “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” which McGregor transcribed from a recording by Spade Cooley and his Orchestra featuring Joaquin Murphy.
