I bought my Tb2000 in ‘75. Serial #128.with hard case love it would never part with it. Tone quality is unbelievable.it’s always a center of attention.

I’ve had my TB2000 bass since 1980 or so. Outstanding instrument. Nothing can touch it tonally or harmonically. As previously mentioned, this bass will blow weak speakers. I’ve blown a bunch, mostly not my own. I ran this puppy over with my car which broke the volume, tone and pickup switch knobs off and played a gig moments later. The next day I had a flat tire. outside of the knos there was no disernable damage. This bass is like a member of the family to me and is very special. It has a heart and soul all it’s own.

The model Bean guitar I owned is thee Travis Bean ‘TB2000 Standard bass. Stability and sustain rules this bass.The Koa wood body with solid aluminum neck,any weak speakercab and bad voice coils, this backbreaker,will find them. Test your family and friends strength,by straping this brute on. I have wonder what the gauge of strings were installed when the bass left the factory new. Playing it is always a joy,copying a Bill Wyman lick (Bean made two short scale models for him.)Hot output pickups,an asskicking bass.

I own a TB1000S, and love it. Great guitars! I recently bought a Electrical EGC Standard, it has some of the great tones a Bean has (since it uses aluminum neck and Travis Bean cloned pickups), but it seems to be lacking something, can’t put my finger on it.

MetalNecks.com is a great resource if anyone wants to learn about all the other lumy guitars/basses out there.

I bought my travis bean in 1980,it was my first electric guitar.Later I tryed
gibsons,fenders and many others,but I did not keep them very long.

I have one my dad gave me in ‘75/76 which is in perfecto condition w/ amp - but I am not a player, yet I played it a few times over the years because it sounded amazingly cool…now being older I appreciate it and it’s perfect details and finish..I do hope they catch on and I am glad they are loved also by so many.

Travis Beans are absolutely fantastic guitars. Getting my Bean literally changed my musical life. It’s the best guitar I own, and I would never sell it. You know.. they have a soul.
